How's Fishing?

Fishing is surprisingly good.  For this time of year, with the water as clear and low as it is, the number of medium to large fish is still very good.  Check out our facebook page to see some nice fish and stringers of fish (Weavers Tackle Store).  I asked a happy angler what was working best for him this morning and he said "Marabou!  any color,  all colors.  Marabou!".  Another angler who uses a fly rod said pretty much the same about using any wet fly. However, she did buy a dozen red holographic cracklebacks, so take that for what it's worth.  As far as for Zone Three, there is a Gulp Brand dough bait called American Pie that we have just blown through here at Weaver's.  Mr. Rick is going to have to order some more of that good stuff!  We are also having a run on the hatchery pellets that are cheese scented.
So grab the kids, call your friends to meet you, throw a watermelon in the cooler along with those beverages, and come down to Bennett to join in the old fashioned summer fun.
