We didn't get nearly the rain that was predicted last week. As a result, the stream is clearing nicely. We do, however, have another weather system coming through midweek and another early next week. Spring in Missouri. Pollen and rain.
The fishing seems to be good. Nothing super big, but most people are catching their limit or, it they are catch and release anglers, letting enough go to enjoy the day. Most of the action is pretty deep, 1-1/2 feet to 2 feet from the bottom, but I also talked with an angler who was using a renegade on top water, tossing into a little eddy, and getting a lot of hits on that.

No one ever lost his breath examining a collection of rubber-bodied ants, but open a box brimming with classic wet flies, and the angler will stop in silent reverence.
