Fishing Report for 11-3-13

How's Fishing?

The catch and release season starts on November 8th.  The hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p,m.from Friday to Monday each week.  Hopefully we will have a winter with warm weekends to enjoy casting a line.

I got an e-mail from Mike Perry, the new assistant hatchery manager.  He wanted me to let you all know that there will be trout stocked in some of the urban lakes of St. Louis and Kansas City sometime during the week of November 4th to November 8th.   Great fun for those who may not always have the opportunity to spend time at the Missouri trout parks.

Quote of the Week

This one is one that has been on this report before, but George Sharon, our photographer, sent it to me and I think it is a great one for this time of the season.

With rivers as with good friends, you always feel better for a few
hours in their presence; you always want to review your dialogue,
years later, with a particular pool or riffle or bend, and to live
back through layers of experience. We have been to this river before
and together. We have much to relive.
