How's Fishing?

Two anglers are standing next to each other.  One says the fishing is tough, he hasn't caught a thing, and the other has a stringer full.  To add insult to injury, two of the second anglers' fish are over two pounds.  It's a fickle sport.
Conditions in the stream are very typical for this time of  year.  The trout are not stocked as heavily as they are during the busy summer months.  The water is gin clear, moving slowly and just perfect for that top water fly.

Remember that the annual Holland Derby is this weekend.  Register at the State Store before 7am on Saturday, catch a tagged trout and win a prize.   This year the weather is perfect.  Warm days and cool nights that are perfect for a campfire.

Quote of the Week

Most anglers who have caught a trout - which is not by any means all anglers - are like criminals and invariably have an impulse to return to the scene of the crime
